Prana (Cannabis Medicine Program)

🩺 Medicine First mentioned: Ep. 024

A standardised medical cannabis formulation system developed by Tony Verzura consisting of full-spectrum preparations in both “active” (decarboxylated, psychoactive THC) and “inactive” (raw THCA/CBDA, non-psychoactive) forms. Designed as a structured morning/lunch/dinner dosing regimen for patients who cannot tolerate psychoactive effects, such as children, elderly patients, or those with pharmaceutical-damaged GABA receptors.

Tony Verzura explained: “You still feel the medicine, you just don’t feel the psychotropic effect of THC. So when you’re talking with children, with parents, that’s why Prana was created — to take the boogeyman out of the picture and still deliver medicine.” Prana was being prepared for toxicity and safety trials studying effects on inflammation, neuropathy, epilepsy, and cancer in rodent models.
