// Definition
Irvin Rosenfeld is one of the last surviving patients in the US federal Compassionate Investigational New Drug (IND) program, receiving government-grown cannabis from the University of Mississippi since 1982 for his rare bone disorder.
// From the Episode
Irvin appeared on the episode and shared his decades-long experience as a federal patient. He was the second person after Robert Randall to receive cannabis through the IND program. He described receiving tins of pre-rolled joints from the government grow at the University of Mississippi. Despite the government's own program proving medical efficacy, the DEA continued to classify cannabis as Schedule I. He used cannabis for bone tumors and discussed how the government herb was about 4% THC and negligible CBD.
