Hemp Seed Oil (vs Cannabis Extract)

🩺 Medicine First mentioned: Ep. 023

Cold-pressed oil from hemp seeds rich in essential fatty acids (omega 3-6-9) but containing zero cannabinoids. A nutritionally beneficial food product fundamentally distinct from CBD-rich cannabis extract, despite some companies misleadingly marketing cannabinoid-containing hemp extract as “hemp oil” — causing widespread consumer confusion and potential health risks from contaminated industrial hemp.

Tony Verzura delivered an extended warning about confusion between hemp seed oil and industrial hemp-derived CBD pastes. He explained that industrial hemp grown in fields acts as a phytoremediator, pulling heavy metals from soil, and that concentrated extracts from this hemp can contain dangerous levels of heavy metals — particularly harmful for vulnerable patients like children with epilepsy or cancer.
