The principle is simple: the trichome heads that separate most readily are the ones that are fullest and most mature — they sit on their stalks like ripe fruit ready to fall. A single gentle pass across a properly sized screen lets these fall through while contaminant stays on top. Each additional pass forces more through, including increasingly smaller plant debris. Bubbleman framed it as a choice between purity and yield — the first bounce gives you the absolute cleanest product, but at the cost of leaving significant material behind. For someone prioritising quality over quantity, first bounce is the method.
