Dry Sift vs Water Hash Quality Debate

๐Ÿ’ง Extraction First mentioned: Ep. 139

The ongoing debate between dry sift and water hash advocates about which produces superior product. Mark Scialdone described dry sift as historically the 'gold standard' while acknowledging water hash democratized access to pure resin for the masses.

Mark said dry sift was always the gold standard for great varieties, but water hash brought pure hash to the masses since import hash was never pure. Bubbleman countered that 99.9% pure heads were almost unknown before water hash except to a tiny circle of sift experts. He credits 90% of hash quality to the grower and genetics, not the extraction technique, noting it's nearly impossible to make great hash from lousy weed.
