// Definition
The process of separating and classifying dry-sifted trichomes by quality grade, typically using multiple screens of decreasing mesh size. High-grade dry sift (99%+ purity) consists almost entirely of trichome heads free of plant material, while lower grades contain increasing amounts of stalk and plant contamination.
// From the Episode
D420K demonstrated his dry sift in Ep 051, and in Ep 052 Bubbleman discussed the rarity of true 99% dry sift, noting that 'people loosely call dry sift which is annoying as hell' when the product does not meet purity standards. Bubbleman mentioned that when he started almost 20 years prior, he knew almost no one producing true 99% dry sift. The distinction between loosely sifted kief and properly graded full-melt dry sift is important for quality assessment.
