11-Hydroxy-THC Comparison

๐Ÿ”ฅ Culture First mentioned: Ep. 167

11-hydroxy-THC is the potent metabolite produced when THC passes through the liver (first-pass metabolism) during oral consumption. Bubbleman noted that the extreme THCP high felt more similar to 11-hydroxy-THC from eating several grams of THC than to any smoked cannabis experience.

The comparison was drawn because THCP's effects - loss of walking ability, extreme duration, creeper onset - more closely resembled a massive edible overdose than a smoked experience, despite being vaped/dabbed. This suggests THCP may activate similar pathways or have comparable CB1 binding affinity to 11-hydroxy-THC.
