Marijuana PTSD Clinical Trial

🩺 Medicine First mentioned: Ep. 086

FDA-approved clinical trials studying smoked and vaporized marijuana for treating PTSD in veterans, using different THC:CBD ratios to measure therapeutic outcomes.

Rick Doblin described the MAPS-sponsored marijuana PTSD study using four arms: 12% THC with no CBD, 12% CBD with no THC, 8% THC and 8% CBD, and placebo. The study was conducted at Sue Sisley's site in Phoenix and Johns Hopkins. Tilray (Canada) also agreed to replicate the study using their own cannabis supply and the Volcano vaporizer, which Storz & Bickel donated for the research.
