Hashishene

⚗️ Science First mentioned: Ep. 076

A degradation product found in aged hashish, formed through the chemical transformation of terpenes (particularly myrcene) during the curing and aging process. It contributes to the distinctive aroma of traditional aged hash.

Sam and the panel discuss hashishene as a degradation product rather than a naturally occurring terpene. It forms through aging and UV-mediated processes in hash. This connects to the broader discussion about how cured hash develops different chemistry from fresh preparations.
