Hash Drying

๐Ÿ’ง Extraction First mentioned: Ep. 010

The critical process of removing residual moisture from freshly made hash to prevent mold, degradation, and whiting out. Requires controlled low humidity (ideally 7-9%), cool temperatures, and air movement over an extended period of days to weeks depending on quantity and method.

This was a central topic of Episode 010. Bubbleman emphasized that hash drying requires patience and environmental control, stating he loves a cold room with low humidity and air movement. Jibs contributed his experience with drying techniques in different climates. The panel discussed how microplaning hash (grating it finely) before drying speeds the process, and how different environments (warm vs. cold, humid vs. dry) dramatically affect the outcome. Bubbleman said he tests stability by checking that moisture stays at 7-9%.
