Legendary cannabis breeder and pioneer, creator of Skunk #1, one of the most influential cannabis strains in history. Based in the Netherlands, Sam developed Skunk #1 in the mid-1970s in California from indica-sativa hybrid genetics, then brought it to Holland around 1984 where he did massive grow-outs of 20,000 plants from seed for selection. He also collected Durban Poison in South Africa and contributed South Indian and Thai genetics to the Haze strain. He was involved with early seed companies including Sacred Seeds. Described by Bubbleman as someone who '100% inspired me into water hash and into dry sift.' Sam also inspired Bubbleman with his 99.9% pure dry sift work.
