A breeding project by Masonic (Edgar) to create new regular F3 populations of the Tropicana cultivar, approximately 10 years after its original release. Aimed at making regular Tropicana seeds available to a new generation of growers who have never grown the original.

Harry Palms (original Tropicana breeder) gave Edgar thumbs-up approval. Wilson was the first original Tropicana hybrid Edgar created. Edgar also made trop crosses with Grape Gas, Candy Shish, White Runtz, Talimon, and Pink Zerch. Edgar's F2 population work dates to 2016 but uses a completely different male than current work.
