SHO Budder Tech

๐Ÿ’ง Extraction First mentioned: Ep. 056

A technique for converting solventless hash oil (SHO/rosin) into a butter-like consistency without mechanical whipping. By holding the rosin at a controlled low temperature (around 100-110 degrees Fahrenheit) for approximately one hour, the oil nucleates and transforms into a stable, opaque budder state, similar in concept to the pocket cure.

Tony Verzura detailed the SHO budder tech process at length around 2:03-2:15 in the episode. Key points: keep temperature at 105-110F, do not exceed 120-125F or terpenes begin to volatilize. The process works through gentle heat without whipping -- whipping breaks down terpenes. The pocket cure (body heat at 98F) achieves the same effect more slowly. Once in budder state, terpenes can be added back. Going past 140-150F is too hot and degrades the product.
