Bubbleman found a hair straightener among David Watson's belongings in Holland, showing Watson was experimenting too. Nicotine (Hash Church regular) was making flags by pressing bubble hash in parchment with hair straightener and cutting tic-tac-toe pattern for individual dabs. SoilGrown was inspired by this but ran out of hash, so put a whole bud in - nonsensical at the time but revolutionary. Chadwick's original method posted on ICMag in 2007-08. Bubble hash led to rosin discovery twice. Message: biggest innovations come from mistakes and removing self-judgment.
