RO Water Ice for Hash Making

๐Ÿ’ง Extraction First mentioned: Ep. 139

Using reverse osmosis (RO) filtered water to make ice for water hash extraction. Chip ice made with fluoridated tap water melts too fast and contaminates the extraction, while hard cubes from RO water with controlled pH produce the cleanest, slowest-melting ice for optimal hash quality.

Bubbleman rated ice quality as a critical variable: hardness, melt rate, and water purity all matter. Cold Craft ice makers producing dense, slow-melting cubes from RO water were identified as the gold standard. Fluoride in commercial chip ice was specifically called out as the worst option.
