Oblong Trichome Heads

⚗️ Science First mentioned: Ep. 210

An atypical trichome morphology found in certain modern cultivars (especially Sherbet-derived genetics) where trichome heads are elongated or melted together rather than round, featuring thicker waxy cuticles that make mechanical separation difficult.

Damn It Bobby (SPEAKER_04) raised this issue after scoping newer cultivars, noting the trait likely originated from Sherbet lineage. Clusters of five heads get stuck in the 220 bag. Pedro confirmed seeing this - heads cluster and catch in unintended screen sizes. Pedro mentioned pulling the 160-220 range and getting 'phenomenal hash' from those oversized clusters. Discussed as a challenge for yield-focused commercial operations.
