Narrowleaf Drug Cultivar (NLD)

๐ŸŒฟ Cultivation First mentioned: Ep. 238

A botanical classification for cannabis varieties with narrow, elongated leaf morphology and psychoactive properties, commonly called sativas. NLD cultivars typically have long flowering periods of 12-20+ weeks and produce unique terpene profiles not found in broader-leafed varieties.

This was a major discussion topic across episodes 237 and 238. Bubbleman and guests discussed how prohibition disproportionately hurt long-flowering NLD cultivars because indoor growers favored faster varieties. The flavors of NLD cultivars were described as incredibly unique compared to modern hybrids.
