Clarke notes that everything in Jamaica now has wide leaf drug variety genetics mixed with imported narrow leaf varieties. The narrow leaf drug cultivars were the haze-type sativas, while Jamaica's traditional ganja was selected over generations from WLD stock. Seeds brought in from outside have hybridized the local genetics irreversibly.
