The technique of grating dried bubble hash or dry sift through a microplane grater to shred trichome heads, releasing internal oils to the exterior surface. Creates the appearance and behavior of melty hash but without requiring genuinely high-quality resin.
// From the Episode
Bubbleman photographed microplaned trichome heads under microscopy and found they looked like 'shredded diamonds.' This releases oil from inside the trichome's waxy coating to the outside, mimicking full-melt behavior. Considered a shortcut alongside fresh-freezing (preserving monoterpenes) that masks mediocre genetics. The Turkish hot-bottle method (Frenchie's technique) achieves similar results by bursting heads with heat and pressure.
