IPMO โ€” Integrated Pest Management Organisms

๐ŸŒฟ Cultivation First mentioned: Ep. 171

An extension of IPM that uses cultivated indigenous fungi as biological control agents against insect pests. Chris Trump and Steve (Potent Ponix) developed methods to cultivate indigenous fungal predators that parasitize beetles, caterpillars, and other carapace-bearing insects. Applied in liquid form, these organisms can be produced anywhere in the world without purchase โ€” simply by cultivating nature's existing entomopathogenic fungi.

Chris Trump's natural farming work spans corn/soy/alfalfa in Iowa, wine grapes in Napa, golf course turf, and cannabis. He produced over 150,000 pounds of IMO (Indigenous Microorganisms) in one year using skid steers, with individual piles reaching 80,000 pounds. Liquid IMO application is a key focus for 2022. The IPMO concept fills the gap between chemical pesticides and passive biological control by actively cultivating and deploying targeted fungal predators.
