// Definition
Cannabis crops historically cultivated for multiple purposes from the same standing crop, including fiber, seed, and drug (hashish) production, rather than being specialized for a single end use.
// From the Episode
Rob Clarke discussed finding this practice in Turkey and Nepal, where the same landrace plants provided fiber (rope-making), seed (food), and hashish (from the threshing powder). Clarke noted Nepal and Turkey may be the only places where all three uses came from the same crop. Turkish rope makers harvested fiber in August before flowering, then left border plants for seed in September.
