The practice of requiring laboratory testing (residual solvents, microbial contamination, pesticides) for all entries in cannabis competitions before they can be included in judge kits. Chalice used SC Labs for full panel testing. Entries failing for residual solvents (above 400-500 PPM cutoff), molds, or pesticides were disqualified rather than publicly shamed.

Panel consensus: failed entries should be quietly disqualified, not put in kits with warning stickers. Compared to auto racing -- if your car doesn't pass inspection, you don't race. Doug's policy: failed solvent entries converted to distillate and donated to cancer/AIDS patients. Emerald Cup (Tim Blake) also moving to pre-testing requirement.
